Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American singer-dancer and actress. Her initial appearances on Broadway include in the Musicals Wicked Legally Blonde and Hair. Her performance on stage in You Can't Take It With You as Essie Carmahiel won her an award for the Tony Award in Best Featured Female Actress in the Play. Annaleigh Ashford Tony Award winner actor has worked with many acclaimed actors and directors in stage films and television. She continues this award-winning career with her upcoming projects. Ashford is set to next appear alongside Kumail Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive program Welcome to Chippendales which premieres on November 22nd. Ashford is currently working on the film for Searchlight Pictures' terror thriller Dust starring Sarah Paulson. This film is part of a Hulu Original and will be streaming on Disney DTC. In March of 2023 Ashford will return to Broadway and will be starring alongside Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The team behind Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail is at the control of the production. Ashford has been seen most recently as Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on the National Crisis which put Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp at the center of the country's First Impeachment Proceedings over 100 Years. Two seasons ago, Ashford was the main character of CBS's hit comedy B Positive. It was created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the famous Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not familiar with Broadway won both Tony Drama Desk Awards as in addition to Outer Critics Circle Awards in the role of Essie. Some other Broadway performances for Ashford includes Sunday in the Park, as George Wicked legally Blonde, and her role as Lauren in Kinky Boots. For this performance she received an Tony Award nomination. Ashford lives in Los Angeles & New York. Her birthplace was in Denver and was raised in Denver.
